But behind closed doors, it's a whole 'nother story. Many of Hollywood’s most beautiful celebrities struggle with a range of skin conditions -- just like the rest of us.
Here are a list of celebrities who have spared no expense in dealing with their skin woes.
Cameron Diaz: Acne
Actress Cameron Diaz joins other Hollywood beauties, like Katie Perry, Victoria Beckham, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys in a struggle with adult acne. She told Radar Online, “It was really challenging to cover them up for the cameras. It was awkward and embarrassing and frustrating, and I always felt really bad about myself.”
The actress tried a range of medications and treatments for acne, and struggled to use makeup techniques that would hide her blemishes. Finally, she says, she found relief by looking at what she was putting into her body and how it was affecting her skin.
The actress, who loved her cheeseburgers, fries, and other fast food, found that when she cut back on the grease and followed a cleaner eating regimen, her acne cleared up on its own. “I had just need to listen to my body…acne was my body’s alarm system. It was its way of telling me [to stop eating fast food].
Seal: Discoid Lupus
Singer Seal has an instantly recognizable face that shows prominent scars from a chronic skin condition called discoid lupus, which causes sores to erupt on the skin, which eventually leave deep scars. These sores are accompanied by the classic “butterfly rash” on the cheeks and nose, and can cause scarring and hair loss anywhere on the body. People who suffer from lupus are typically sensitive to sunlight, although phototherapy (exposure to UV light) can help treat lesions in some patients. According to IMDB, Seal is in remission.
