Creamy Oatmeal with Blueberries

  • 4 cup(s) Low-fat milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 2 cup(s) rolled oats
  • 8 tablespoon(s) heavy cream
  • 2 cup(s) blueberries

Directions

    1. Place a heavy saucepan over medium-heat, bring the milk and salt to a gentle boil. Stir in the oats slowly into the boiling milk. 
    2. Reduce the heat to medium and cook uncovered at a gentle boil. Stir the oatmeal frequently until soft and the milk is absorbed. 
    3. Keep oatmeal in at a gentle boil. 
    4. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for 3 minutes. 
    5. Let oatmeal rest, then stir in the cream until blended.
    6. Stir in blueberries into the warm oatmeal.
    7. Serve and enjoy.
