Balsamic Glazed Salmon Fillets

  • 6 salmon fillets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 floz white wine
  • 1 tablespoon(s) honey
  • 5 1/4 tablespoon(s) balsamic vinegar
  • 4 teaspoon(s) dijon mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) salt, to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon(s) fresh basil, chopped

Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
    2. Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat, add onions and garlic until softened and browned. Mix in white wine, honey, balsamic vinegar, mustard, and salt and pepper. Cook on low heat uncovered for about 3 minutes. 
    3. Place salmon fillets on the lined baking sheet. Brush the fillets with balsamic glaze, and sprinkle with basil.
    4. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes, or until flakey. Remove from oven and brush remaining glaze on the fillets and season with salt and pepper.
    5. Transfer to a plate and serve.
