3garlic, cloves, minced
1/2 cup(s) onions, chopped
2 1/2 cup(s) Italian peeled tomatoes
6 cup(s) finely chopped anchovies
1/2 teaspoon(s) oregano
1 tablespoon(s) parsley
1 tablespoon(s) fresh basil sprig
1/2package spaghetti
2 teaspoon(s) Romano cheese
Directions
Heat oil in a skillet and sauté garlic.
In a large skillet over medium heat sauté garlic and onion in oil.
Add tomatoes.
Stir in anchovies, oregano, and parsley.
Place basil sprig, including stem, on the surface. Let it wilt and then submerge in the sauce.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook pasta according to directions.
Pour sauce over spaghetti and sprinkle with Romano cheese.
