2 tablespoon(s) extra virgin olive oil
1yellow onion, chopped
1red pepper, cored, seeded, and chopped
2cloves garlic, minced
32 ounce(s) extra lean ground turkey
1 dash(es) salt
1 dash(es) pepper
2 1/2ripe tomatoes, chopped
1 tablespoon(s) vinegar
1 tablespoon(s) cinnamon
4 teaspoon(s) brown sugar
3 tablespoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoon(s) cumin
1/4 teaspoon(s) bay leaves
1 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon(s) cloves
1/4 cup(s) raisins
1/4 cup(s) green olives, chopped pitted
Directions
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the onion, bell pepper and garlic and cook about 5 minutes.
Add the ground turkey, and allow to brown, crumbling the meat with a fork as it does. Season with salt and pepper.
Add tomatoes, vinegar, cinnamon, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, bay leaves, brown sugar, lemon juice and cloves.
Reduce the heat, and let the stew simmer, covered, for about 20 minutes. Stir in the green olives and raisins and serve.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
