Spicy Low-Fat Cheese Dip

  • 3 cup(s) low fat sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cup(s) low fat mild Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup(s) sliced pimientos
  • 1/2 cup(s) white onions, chopped
  • 3 teaspoon(s) garlic, finely minced
  • 8 tablespoon(s) light mayonnaise
  • 8 tablespoon(s) light sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash(es) salt, to taste
  • 1 dash(es) pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup(s) green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) dried parsley
  • 1/10 tablespoon(s) crushed red pepper
  • 16 tablespoon(s) low fat cream cheese, cubed

Directions

    1. In slow cooker, stir shredded cheeses, pimientos, onion, garlic, mayonnaise, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper until combined.
    2. Cube cream cheese into chunks and place on top of mixture. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 1 1/2 hours. Stir cream cheese into mixture; cook 30 minutes or until cream cheese is melted and mixture is heated through.
    3. Top warm dip with chopped fresh parsley, red pepper flakes and cut green onions. Serve warm or at room temperature with crackers and/or chopped fresh vegetables.
