- 3 potatoes. peeled
- 1 tablespoon(s) extra virgin olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic, cloves
- 1 cup(s) carrots, chopped
- 16 ounce(s) extra lean ground turkey
- 3/4 cup(s) vegetable broth
- 1/8 cup(s) whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup(s) peas
- 1 teaspoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon(s) ketchup
- 1/2 cup(s) almond milk
- 1/4 cup(s) reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 °F.
- In a large pot bring water to a boil.
- Add potatoes and cook about 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat a large skillet with oil. Sauté onions, garlic and carrots until tender.
- Add turkey and cook until well browned.
- Drain turkey and return to the hot skillet.
- Add broth, flour, green peas, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove potatoes from boiling water. Mash with milk and cheese.
- In a 9 x 13 casserole dish layer and press meat mixture into the bottom of the pan evenly.
- Then spread the mashed potato mixture on the top.
- Bake for 30 minutes. Serve.
